Six rules govern every dollar in the pool.
All seven playoff teams keep playing to settle the full finishing order, places 1 through 7. The higher seed advances in an exact playoff tie. Teams finishing 8th to 14th do not enter a consolation bracket, so their draft-slot order runs off regular-season standings, and eliminated teams are locked from all player acquisitions.
Someone finishes last. This is the exact order of operations for deciding who, settled before the season.
